Identity and account review
Before a therapist profile can be marked verified, Seansio’s review workflow compares the account identity with the name and supporting evidence submitted for the professional credential.
Seansio’s verification workflow helps clients understand which identity and credential details have been reviewed, when follow-up is required, and what they should confirm independently. The issuing licensing authority remains the official source.

The review can include profession, license number, issuing authority, jurisdiction, status, expiration date, and supporting documents. A profile is not made verified solely because a file was uploaded.
Authorization for online care can depend on where the therapist is licensed and where the client is located during a session. Therapists remain responsible for confirming that they may practice in the relevant location.
Profiles and administrative queues distinguish pending review, verified, renewal needed, restricted, expired, and rejected states so unresolved credentials are not presented as current.
A Seansio badge reports the platform’s review state at a point in time. It does not guarantee clinical fit, professional competence, treatment outcomes, or that a credential cannot later change.
Therapists can receive renewal reminders and submit updated evidence before an expiration date. A changed, expired, or incomplete credential can return to review and may limit profile visibility.
Clients can use the therapist’s displayed name, profession, jurisdiction, and license details to check the applicable public board or college. That regulator is the authoritative source for current status and discipline.
Therapists can submit corrected documents, and clients can report a credential discrepancy through support. Seansio can send the profile back to review or remove its verified state while the concern is assessed.
